The Body Vibes

Nanton  Alberta

The Body Vibes now introduces to Nanton a new way of staying in shape without perspiration, heart tempo alteration or muscle tiredness. The system transmits a fast sequence of vibrations specifically designed to activate and stimulate the muscle walls of the body. This allows direct stimulation of the muscles, without producing oxidative stress, which is the typical after effect of intense muscular activity or exercise.

All muscle fibers in the body tense and relax at the same rate as the machine is vibrating 30 – 50 times per second to enhance and stimulate blood flow and tone the muscles. The body develops leaner muscle tissue as it increases the metabolic rate resulting in a higher caloric burn. Fat reduction is considerable and more effective in people who train for 10 minutes three times a week using vibration training than in those who do aerobic activity for one hour three times a week.

Weakened lower back muscles are often the cause of back pain. These muscles can be reinforced by an appropriate training schedule using vibration. It is possible to strengthen the back muscles without severe mechanical pressure or rotation under strain.

Schedule for 10 minutes of your day, and step onto the Proellixe without having to get changed or have to rush into the shower afterwards. This machine doesn't allow your muscles to get to the point of producing lactic acid, which is the cause of the disagreeable feeling of “hardening” or stiffening that often follows muscular exercise, particularly in unfit people.

" Whatever may be the mechanisms behind it, it is clear

that WBV elicits muscle contraction involuntary and it

induces strength gain in previously untrained subjects

within a short period of time and without much effort. The

subjects did not experience the WBV training as exhausting

training sessions. This suggests that WBV has a great potential

in a therapeutic context where it may enhance muscular

performance in patients and elderly, who are not

attracted to or who are not able to perform standard exercise

programs. It may also enhance performance of athletes in a

stretch-shortening cycle"

This new therapy has been shown in extensive research to improve health in areas such as increased muscle strength and flexibility, increased bone density, increased circulation, joint therapy for numerous joint problems, improved balance, and many people report an improved mood and energy level when using WBV. Research with animals has shown an increase in serotonin levels after vibration. Serotonin, which is almost a household term these days due to the prevalence of depression and antidepressant drugs, is the neurotransmitter that makes you calm and happy, and not coincidently is the neurotransmitter that antidepressant drugs aim to increase. Evidence of WBV’s effects in this area with people is so far anecdotal, but presents another exciting area to explore!
